Our client is a busy second tier civil contractor who are based in Sydney.  Currently they are working on a $5 Million civil bulkgoods carpark project in Newcastle and are looking for a proven Project Engineer to join them on a contract basis and to help run this large infrastructure project from start to completion.  

 

To be considered, applicants will need to have previous experience assisting Project Managers with the delivery and management of similar civil projects that include pavements, landscaping, retaining walls and bridge work  valued up to $5 Million with other civil contractors. You will additionally need to possess a Civil Degree and have between 3 to 5 years experience working within the construction industry.

In this role, you will be reporting to one of the Project Managers and be responsible for managing the project from site.  So previous experience working as a Project Engineer; taking projects from start to completion is required.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have effective communication and the ability to drive a project to completion.  You will also be required to have an eye for detail and be process driven when it comes to quality and safety on site.

 

In return, you will be offered 3 - 6 month contract with an emerging 2nd tier civil contractor who is working on a diverse array of projects within the NSW market while being paid a competitive salary rate with the potential of something more long term if you prove yourself.
